AcroSports just keeps on growing! To keep up with our ever-expanding staffing needs, we have developed a new position and are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position(s) detailed below:


Position: Performance Director

FLSA Type: Exempt; Full-time

Reports To: Executive Manager

Starting Rate/Salary: $52,000-$62,400 (dependent on experience)


Function:

The Performance Director will cultivate a thriving environment for personal and community transformation through collaborative youth, adult, and staff engagement in circus arts and physical performance. The Director will successfully oversee logistics for all AcroSports performances, from initial planning stages through completion and post-mortem.  

The Performance Director will oversee and coach the CircusLab Ensemble with the primary goal of advancing their circus and performance skills and outlining a path to a professional career in performance. The Performance Director will serve as a mentor as students develop leadership skills, and guide students to be vibrant representatives and ambassadors of AcroSports in our community.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership for all AcroSports Performances

  • Create curriculum, choreography, and structure programming for CircusLab Ensemble

  • Manage arrangements for performance events, productions and appearances, AcroSports Cabarets (2 per year), Adult Showcase, and CircusLab Performance

  • Work with Executive Management Team to choose Performance themes


Program Specific Duties (CircusLab Ensemble)

  • Direct end of year CircusLab Performance, including all choreography, costume/sound design, and acts with support from Production Specialist for technical needs

  • Provide mentorship to CircusLab Ensemble students

  • Communicate regularly with CircusLab Ensemble families

  • Organize and facilitate CircusLab Ensemble student audition process

  • Oversee, organize, and inventory all circus skills equipment, costumes, make-up, and performance related props

  • Aid coaches/managers in identifying current students who show potential to join the CircusLab Ensemble and make contact with parents/students to invite to audition

  • Facilitate offsite performance opportunities for CircusLab Troupe (4 per year)

  • Stay up to date with the greater youth circus performer community


Program Specific Duties (Performances)

  • Manage all arrangements for performance events, productions and appearances

  • Facilitate auditions and casting for Cabarets

  • Contract performers, choreographers, technical staff, musicians, and MCs for Performances

  • Design, build and/or source sets, props, costumes and tech for Performances

  • Manage Performance event planning, including concessions, decorations and set-up

  • Collaborate with Marketing to communicate, promote and sell Performances

  • Communicate timely with staff and performers regarding Performance dates and rehearsal schedules

  • Seek out opportunities for community partnerships, collaborations, and events that highlight AcroSports’ Performance program and wider class offerings

Position: Administrative Manager

FLSA Type: Exempt; Full-time (32-40 hours/week)

Reports To: Executive Director

Starting Salary: $25-30/hour DOE


Function:

The Administrative Manager is a vital member of AcroSports’ Management Team, working collaboratively with other members of the Management team to continue the development and oversight of AcroSports and its mission.  Administrative Manager will be an Ambassador by modeling AcroSports’ philosophy, vision, and values. This is a key leadership role; the Administrative Manager is expected to lead by example and foster team moral.


Managerial Role

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to staff team

  • Build effective relationships with peers encouraging collaborative working

  • Contribute to the efficiency of AcroSports programming

  • Conduct quarterly staff performance reviews, set individual goals, and propose rate adjustments

  • Approve timesheets for ACP staff team

  • Attend monthly Leadership Team meetings

  • Attend bi-weekly program meetings

  • Contribute to AcroSports Work Teams as required/assigned

  • Participate in hiring process and orientation of new staff

  • Uphold all AcroSports policies, procedures, standards and code of conduct

  • Report issues regarding staff, safety, and accidents to Executive Manager

  • Resolve program specific questions with customers

  • Respond and move to resolve all complaints in a timely manner

  • Participate in the planning of AcroSports Performances (ex. student showcases/cabarets).

  • Contribute to the creation of annual budget by submitting program specific assumptions

  • Work with EM & ED to recommend Program Cost Pool, Agency Cost Pool, Capital & Equipment expenditures for the organizational annual budget


Program Specific Duties

  • Maintains administrative staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Has top level responsibility in phone & public reception

    • Callers receive prompt, personal, efficient, and effective service

    • Web information is accurate (Communicate to Marketing Manager when updates are needed)

    • Email quandaries are responded to in a prompt, appropriate, and personal manner, with correct and current information

  • Oversee customer service and resolve any issue/problem that arises

  • Schedule staff shifts in When I Work & approve staff timesheets each pay period

  • Set-up and oversee registration process

  • Improves program and service quality by devising new applications; updating procedures; evaluating system results with users.

  • Enforce system that keeps family and student accounts up to date (emergency contact numbers, waiver agreement, email contact)

  • Oversee AcroSports information flyers to make sure all current publications are up-to-date, stocked and available

  • Work with program managers to make sure program info is complete, up-to-date, and accurate

  • Oversight of all registration

    • Creating Sessions, new classes, archiving past sessions

    • Updating classes (opening, closing, putting on hold, changing time/coaches)

    • Check in with Program managers regarding class status and reflect changes in JR system

    • Alert program managers to class enrollment issues and programming needs

    • Setting registration for Priority(only allowing active members to reg) then change to allow new members for General Registration

    • Collaborate with Marketing manager on emailing families re: Priority and Open Reg.

  • Create and update Email Templates

  • Over-see payments for classes are being charged promptly and correctly.

  • Income tracking: Enter Cash and Checks into Google Drive

  • Delegate

    • Past due payments processing

    • Credit/Refund Request ( Admin Coord)

    • Tuition Assistance (Admin Coord)

    • Installment Plans (Admin Coord)

    • Mail taken in & out daily

    • Lost & Found (Take to Goodwill at end of every session)

  • Keep office supplies stocked - keep tracking method for supplies & purchase new items when needed

  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems.

  • Oversee that private lessons are being recorded properly

  • Keep all office forms up to date and stocked

  • Oversee that the Marketing Manager gets the correct mailing list emails from JR

  • Change and Update phone message machine as needed

  • Contact phone company when issues arise

  • Make sure copy machine toner is in stock, or ordered in a timely fashion when it's low.

    • Know how to: Double side, Change paper size, Select color, Scan, Un-jam paper issues, Work Document Server, Scan to email

  • Completes special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements; planning, arranging, and meeting schedules; monitoring results



Additional Responsibilities - BigTopShop Supervision

  • Responsible for oversight of the Big Top shop

  • 
Stocking, Inventory, and Purchasing: Order all stock and supplies for the BTS , including food, beverages, leotards and dancewear, and gear.
 


  • Create system for tracking purchases in JR & square

  • Adhere to the annual budget, improve the sustainability of the BTS and continue to create a vision for its future at AcroSports.


Requirements:

College Degreee

3+ years Managing

3+ years in Administrative role

2+ years of Customer Service


Part-Time Front Desk Specialist

AcroSports is seeking part-time Front Desk Specialists who thrive in the customer service setting. 

This position is available immediately and is most suited for enthusiastic, reliable, hard-working personalities, excited about working with the community and around parents and children.

Our mission is to serve our community in a safe, positive environment, offering activities that encourage teamwork and build strengths as well as self-esteem, and enhancing life's experience. 

Current Available Shifts:

Monday close, Tuesday open, Thursday open, and Saturday close. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create a fun, welcoming atmosphere and maintain a clean, secure facility.

- Answer multi-line telephone system, answer customer questions, take accurate messages, and transfer telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.

- Read email daily and respond with appropriate professional responses

- Deal with difficult situations calmly and professionally.

- Help customers courteously and effectively. Assist customers with registrations, phone inquiries, and information. 

- Accurate registration of students in registration management system.

- Accurately record cash and credit card transactions.

- Maintain appearance at reception: keep order behind the front desk, keep common areas clean and clear, stock supplies.

- Update Attendance Sheets. 

- Weekend shifts include hosting children's parties (clean up involved). 

- Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Reliable, punctual, responsible and have a positive attitude

- Computer literacy.

- Excellent Telephone Etiquette

- CPR and First Aid certifications, or the willingness to become certified.

- Conflict resolution skills helpful.

- High school diploma, solid work references, customer service experience, and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.

- Some college and previous office experience preferred. 

HOURS

This is a part-time, hourly position averaging 12-24 hours (3-4 shifts) per week. Front Desk Staff must be able to work weekends. 

COMPENSATION: $15 -16/hr (DOE)

Preschool Gymnastics Coach needed!

We are a non-profit recreational gymnastics and urban circus arts facility whose mission is to serve the community through the physical arts.  The preschool program is our largest program and serves several hundred students per week.

 A part-time position is open starting immediately with training.  Hours are weekday/ weekend mornings and afternoons, 5 hours/week.   Further substitute hours will also be available on an ongoing basis as needed.

We are looking for an upbeat, enthusiastic, caring individual who has experience working with children under 6 and is familiar with gymnastics, dance, and other physical arts.  The job involves maintaining a safe, fun environment for learning, teaching fundamental gymnastics & social skills, and encouraging students' confidence and joy in physical feats.

Youth Gymnastics Coach needed!
 

We are a non-profit recreational gymnastics and urban circus arts facility whose mission is to serve the community through the physical arts.  The youth program serves almost a thousand students in classes offered 7 days a week.

 A part-time position is open starting immediately with training.  Hours are weekdays and weekends, 5-15 hours/week.   Further substitute hours will also be available on an ongoing basis as needed.

We are looking for an individual with experience in movement and coaching. Background and training in gymnastics, parkour, or other circus arts is preferred. The job involves teaching fundamental and progressive movement skills, supporting youth development and growth, and encouraging students' confidence and joy in physical feats.
