AcroSports’ Mobile Arts Training Program (M.A.T.) takes our award-winning curriculum into K-12 classrooms and neighborhood community centers throughout the greater Bay Area.
M.A.T’s offsite classes train an average of 1,000 students at over 20 schools per year. M.A.T. works in partnership with public and private preschools, elementary, middle, and high schools; and community centers such as the YMCA and Boys & Girls clubs.
Our CPR-certified coaches teach a variety of physical arts for various skill-levels while empowering students with the self-confidence to develop healthy relationships with their peers and community.
“As a result of taking Capoeira class, the students have discovered they possess athletic abilities they previously were not aware of. Students have learned to stretch, tumble, and flip their bodies in a healthy celebration of their youth and individual athletic expression.”
~Many thanks and praises from the families and community of Community High

Classes can be scheduled for 6 to 12 weekly sessions. The sessions are structured with weekly lesson plans tailored to the age of your students, in the discipline of your choice.
M.A.T. Coaches and Fees
AcroSports offsite and outreach coaches are First-Aid trained and CPR certified and undergo USA Gymnastics certifications in safety, child and professional development. AcroSports requires its coaches to participate in several teaching workshops every year.
Every M.A.T. coach brings at least two years of coaching experience to their jobs. Many of our coaches are also successful local performance artists whose specialties include artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, circus arts, capoeira, aerial arts, ballet, modern and ethnic dance.
Fees vary depending on the number of classes, students, and staff scheduled. An estimate for program costs will be sent to you after discussing the parameters of your individual program with M.A.T. Program Manager, Ed Johnson.
Due to the popularity of our programs, we expanded beyond our facility with the launch of “Mobile Arts Training (M.A.T.), an off-site program that takes AcroSports curriculum and equipment to schools and community centers.
During summer months, M.A.T. is available to teach our Gymnastics and Circus Camp curriculum at your facility.
We offer a two different programs: in the circus themed camp K-12 campers will learn age-appropriate tumbling, juggling, breakdancing, and other circus skills.
The gymnastics camp program includes tumbling on our mobile airtrack. To learn more about our M.A.T. program, please contact Ed Johnson or fill out a Request Form.
AcroSports top-rated offsite and outreach programs take our curriculum into Bay Area schools and community centers for 6-12 week residencies.
AcroSports is a pro-active community partner. Support for our outreach program takes shape in several ways; including tuition assistance for individuals and free on and off-site physical recreation programs to children in need. We have a fee-based structure for those who can afford our programs, and provide scholarships and other supports to ensure that those who cannot pay can still have access.

The AcroSports philosophy is to make each student feel successful and confident regardless of skill level.
We work toward this by breaking down each new skill into small, achievable steps appropriate for the mental, physical, and emotional development of each individual.
AcroSports physical education program helps students build strength, flexibility and agility while improving their coordination and body control. In addition, the use of positive reinforcement helps develop self-confidence, creativity and independence.
“This is the 2nd year most of our 5th graders have participated in your program. It is really wonderful to see the growth in our kids both in their acrobatic skills and in their self-esteem and body/spacial awareness. I see students who might otherwise be shy and reserved come to life both in the program and in regular class. The interaction between students and the AcroSports coaches is wonderful to watch. I see nothing but respect towards each other.”
~ Celia Magtoto, 5th grade teacher, Jean Parker Elementary School
“AcroSports has been a wonderful experience for our scholars. They have thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday gymnastics class.”
~ Tamitrus Rice-Mitchell, Project Manager SFUSD Dream Schools
“AcroSports is great! We have seen our children develop flexibility, muscle strength, and physical confidence and competence.”
~ Darcy Campbell, Director of Cow Hollow Preschool
