What are your office hours?

Friday 9am-6:00,
Saturday 9am-7:00pm, and
Sunday 11am-5pm.

Do you offer off-site programs?
AcroSports’ “Mobile AcroSports Training (MAT)” van brings our physical programs out to schools or community facilities. Please contact the Offsite Manager, Ed Johnson, for more info.

How often do you have performances?
Semi-annual performances by City Circus generally occur in early December and mid-May. We also have a Recital Program in which performance-track students perform in a group recital at the end of every class session (we offer four sessions per year). Members of our performance troupe also periodically perform at community events like ZooFest and Family Fest in Golden Gate Park.

Can we rent your equipment?
Some mats and other equipment are available for rent. Please contact our Site Coordinator to inquire about equipment rentals.

CLASS REGISTRATION

What do I need to do to hold a spot in a class?
Payment (cash, check, VISA or MasterCard) will reserve your space in a class. For students applying for tuition assistance, a fully completed Tuition Assistance application with requested supporting documentation and a $25 deposit will temporarily hold your space until your application is reviewed.

What are your class fees and how do I sign up?
At this time we are primarily doing registration through our convenient Online Portal We are doing all of our registration online, but if you should encounter a problem with our online system, please contact our office at 415-665-2276 and we will help you to resolve the issue or proceed with registration by phone.

Class tuition for all AcroSports enrollment programs is generally calculated according to the number of hours per week the student is attending, times the number of weeks in the particular session (late enrollment is always prorated). The greater number of hours per week, the less the dollar amount per hour.

What are your refund or cancellation policies?
Our policy is that we do NOT offer Refunds. In some cases, an AcroSports Credit can be offered, which will remain valid for a period of one year from the date it is issued. Credits are only offered in the event of illness or injury, or if a child is having severe difficulty acclimating to a class. While we make every effort to accommodate the needs of our students and to ensure a positive recreational experience, we also recognize that unexpected circumstances arise. In the event that a Refund becomes necessary, a $25 processing fee may apply.

Why do I have to pay for insurance/registration?
AcroSports charges an annual $45 Registration and Insurance Fee for all students in order to subsidize a variety of costs not directly associated with in-class activities. Specifically, these expenses include processing and maintenance of student records and quarterly mailings (registration), as well as liability and accident insurance costs.

Do you offer Tuition Assistance?
Yes! For those who qualify, we do offer Tuition Assistance for our Preschool and School Age programs, as well as for Circus and Specialty Camps. *Please note: Tuition Assistance is not currently offered for Kindercamp students.* Please contact the AcroSports office for details, or you can also find a Tuition Assistance application here. Please be sure to include all of the required paperwork, along with the $25 deposit, together at the time your application is being submitted.

Can I pay tuition in installments?
Yes, you can arrange an Installment Plan (subject to a Financing/Administrative Fee) with Administrative Co-Coordinator, Jason Gellis. You may also want to consider applying for Tuition Assistance (see above).

Do you offer sibling/family discounts?
Yes, for those enrolled in classes we offer 10% off tuition for multiple family members, beginning with the 2nd family member, applied to the lesser tuition. However, please note that this discount does not apply to camps. Call our office at 415-665-2276 before making payment to ensure the discount has been applied.

Can I sign up in the middle of a session?
Yes, pending availability in the classes you're interested in. Your tuition will be prorated for the remaining classes. if you are not sure your child wants to take a class or not, schedule a no-risk trial class through the office (415-665-2276) before committing to the entire session. If your child enjoys the class you can register for the session, if not, you owe nothing. If your child tries a class and it doesn't work out they may do another risk free trial the following session. Adults may do a paid Drop-In in class and apply that payment towards registration for the session if they decide to register. Once you sign up for a class it is yours for the session; you cannot substitute friends or siblings in place of the original registrant.

What happens if a class is underenrolled?
Underenrolled classes are subject to cancellation. In these cases, you may switch to another open class that works for your schedule, or request that we issue you an AcroSports Credit or a refund.

Oftentimes parents are requested to come on to the floor to assist the coaches with the party, especially with younger children. You will need to click through an Agreement when booking your party online; this will cover your guests as well.

Is there a fee for extra party guests?
Yes, there is a fee of $10.00 per child over the party's stated limit. By exceeding the stated limit, AcroSports cannot guarantee that additional children will get equal or any time on the zipline or bungee. We cannot exceed a limit of 25 students for safety reasons.

Common Class Questions

Do you offer trial classes?
Yes, we offer no-risk trials in preschool and schoolage class sections that have space available. You may check availability and schedule a no-risk trial class by calling our office. If you enjoy the class you may register and pay for the session (including the trial), if not, you owe nothing. **Please Note: No-Risk Trials are not available to Adult students.**

Do you offer Make-Ups?
Yes. Make-ups are limited to two (2) per session. These Make-Ups are offered on a per-session basis and do not carry over from one session to the next. All Make-Up classes can be arranged online through our office, either by phone at 415-665-2276 or in person.

Can my child be in a class with their friend?
Preschool Classes: If they are in the same age group and there is space available, yes.
School Age Classes:If they are determined to be at the same skill level and there is space in the class, yes. But as all classes follow a progressive curriculum, students may not be in class together based solely on friendship or schedule convenience.

Can I choose my child’s instructor?
You may inquire as to coaches’ schedules when you register, but all schedules are subject to change before and/or throughout the session. If the coach you would like is teaching one of two sections offered at once, you can request your child to be grouped with that coach at the first class of the session.

Can I leave the building during my child’s class?
Preschool:No! Parents/caretakers of preschool students must stay in designated viewing areas, within sight of the instructor, throughout the class period.
School Age:Yes. Just be sure to pick your student up on time, or call the office if you are running late.

Do you offer classes on weekends?
Preschool:Yes, on Saturday & Sunday mornings, as well as early afternoons on Saturdays.
School Age:Girls and boys gymnastics classes are usually offered on Saturdays depending on the session.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES

At what age do you start taking students?
18 months. Our insurance policy does not cover children under 18 months, so you must wait until the day that you child turns 18 months to participate in a class.

Can my babysitter/nanny bring my child?
Any parent or caretaker may bring a child to class. Please make sure everyone is familiar with all policies outlined on our registration form, and that we have current phone numbers for all adults who are responsible for the child.

What if my child ages-out of their class mid-session?
You can switch to the next class mid-session, depending upon availability, or wait until the next session to move to the next age group.

SCHOOL AGE CLASSES

How do I know which level is appropriate?
If your child is new to AcroSports and has no prior gymnastics experience, they are most likely at the IntroStar beginner level. If they have prior gymnastics experience, you may schedule an evaluation with the School Age program manager, Tonya White, to determine the appropriate class for him/her.

How many students are in each class?
Most School Age classes have a limit of 8 students per class. Exceptions are trampoline and the various aerial arts, which may have 6 students; and dance and capoeira classes which may have up to 14. Classes with 2 instructors may also have more than 8 students.

When will my child move to the next skill level?
Your child will receive a recommendation from their coach prior to the coming session enrollment if they have determined they are ready to move to the next level. This is determined by a skill evaluation. A list of all students who are moving up will be kept in the main office during registration. If you have questions about your child moving up, speak with their coach or call and ask to speak with a head coach.
