Camps and Specialty Camps Overview

Kids don't need to run away to join the circus! AcroSports' week-long Circus Camps offer full days of circus events, acrobatics, act development and other physical activities designed to promote fitness, self-confidence, and group cooperation skills. Campers participate in Friday's Big Show at the end of their busy week. Mornings are spent developing acts for the end of week show and campers spend afternoons learning new skills, doing art projects, playing games, and other activities. Each week has a different show theme, and many campers attend multiple weeks during the Summer. Weekly Specialty Camps where students focus on Gymnastics, Tumbling, Dance, and X-Sports are also offered throughout the summer.

Camps run June-August and are from 9am-3pm Monday-Thursday, and 9am-4pm (show at 4pm) on Fridays. Extended care is offered in the morning 8-9am (M-F) and afternoon 3-5:30pm (M-Th).

CIRCUS CAMPS
AcroSports has offered Summer Circus Camps since the Summer of 1993, and hundreds of kids have attended AcroSports Camps since. AcroCampers learn a wide variety of circus disciplines, play games, and put together a show for family and friends at the end of the week. Each week has a different show theme, and many campers attend multiple weeks during the Summer.

Activities include:
  • Circus arts activities: trapeze, bungee, ropes and juggling
  • Development of tumbling and balancing skills through work on stilts, tumble track and tumbling strip where campers learn rolls, falls and flips
  • Floor activities including games, bungee and zipline rides, rehearsals and choreography of theatrics, skits and group routines
  • Art activities in the Solarium creating props in preparation for our weekly Circus Show.
  • Daily walking field trip, weather permitting, right across the road to Kezar stadium for lunch in the sun and fresh air activities.
  • A fun and exciting show put on by the campers at the close of each week. Family and friends watch from the grandstand while campers showcase the skills they have learned throughout the week.
